This was our fifth time to perform at the San Antonio Burlesque Festival and we had a stellar time. The lineup for the two-day festival was exceptionally diverse and super queer – a real win-win in our opinion!

We snuck out of the muggle jobs a bit early on Friday so we could head to San Antonio, check in to the host hotel, and grab dinner and tiki drinks before heading to the Semeneya Event Center for the Friday Night Showcase. We were performing on Saturday, so we got to kick back and enjoy the whole show! We loved fellow Austinite, Rosy Ravish’s love affair with Mary Jane (wink) and Crocodile Lightning radiated positive energy and confidence in her sensual strip.

Our favorite part of the evening was getting to witness legend Satan’s Angel bring down the house! She showed us why she is THE Queen of the Fire Tassels and treated us to some awesome robe work! After the show we caught up with new and old friends and then headed back to the hotel.

Saturday it was back to the venue for tech rehearsal, a quick dinner of Mexican food and margaritas (a requirement when in San Antonio), and then the Saturday Night Spectacular kicked off! There were fabulous performers from all over the country and the headliners were amazing! Miss Poison Ivory was phenomenal and we were so excited to get to see her perform. We were also excited take home the tacos for best Duo/Group that evening!

Post show we had a chance to chat with Satan’s Angel and it was wonderful to get her feedback on our number. We are so lucky to get to know our legends and spending time with and seeing queer burlesque legends is very special. Our thanks to festival producers Lita Deadly, Jasper St. James and Foxxy Blue Orchid for bringing Satan’s Angel and all the outstanding headliners for another knockout year of the San Antonio Burlesque Festival!
